In the 2007/2008 Parliamentary Session Ian Stewart, the then Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Community Media, sponsored an early day motion on local TV in the House of Commons. The motion was signed by a total of 162 MPs serving at that time – more than any other early day motion on broadcasting in the previous three years.
