ULTV has put forward a proposal for “Channel 6” on Freeview and cable to be reserved as a local TV channel, operating as independent franchises but with network scale achieved through programme and resource sharing.
ULTV has also proposed that Ofcom enable further local and regional channels to launch on ‘Community Multiplexes’ using ‘interleaved’ spectrum – spectrum that would be specifically reserved by Ofcom for new channels which service the interests of geographic communities and communities of interest. |
